South of Florence stands the Pio Istituto S. Anna, a structure immersed in a green and relaxing environment, which offers assistance to elderly people who are not self-sufficient. The villa dates back to the 1500s and boasts spacious, welcoming, evocative and well-appointed furnishings.
The heritage of historical value is breathed by observing the decorated ceilings and the historic garden with fountain, surrounded by ancient walls.
But at the home for elderly assistance we also breathe a very familiar atmosphere, which surrounds every single person so as not to make her feel alone and, indeed, to support her with the presence and the health intervention of doctors and nurses, and with that social work by volunteers and religious of the institute.

The assistance is complete, with accommodation in air-conditioned rooms and en suite, single, double, 3 or 4 beds.
Canteen service with seasonal food plan and controlled by medical personnel. 24 hours medical and health assistance, recreational and leisure activities with the support of Franciscan religious and volunteers. The structure is equipped with security systems, a central kitchen, clinics, a gym and a chapel. Private agreement structure.

The stay starts from a minimum of 20 days and is open to ladies in old age who are no longer self-sufficient or partially self-sufficient.

The insertion is provided in private mode, with fees charged to the family, or in agreement, even for short periods, with ASL (health quota) or with the municipality (social quota).
How to reach the Institute
By public transportation: from piazza Ferrucci (S. Nicolò bridge) take bus 41, in the direction of Galluzzo; get off at via Benedetto Fortini, in front of the Pio Istituto S.Anna.
By car from Florence: from Piazza Ferrucci take via Orsini and turn right into via di Ripoli. Continue until you reach Piazza Elia della Costa and turn right onto Via del Larione. At the end of the road, turn left into via Benedetto Fortini. After 400 meters stop at the Pio Istituto S. Anna, on the right.
By car from the Autostrada del Sole: at the Firenze Sud exit, go straight on viale Europa, at the third exit take the Centro di Gavinana direction. From viale Europa continue along via Giannotti. When you reach Piazza Gavinana, go back as far as Piazza Elia della Costa and turn right into Via il Larione. At the end of the road, turn left into via Benedetto Fortini.
After 400 meters stop at the Pio Istituto S.Anna, on the right.
